Description

Visit with Rosa Parks - The Mother of the Freedom Movement - at the historic Liriodendron Mansion, and learn how her quiet determination sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott and inspired generations to continue the fight for civil rights.

On Tuesday, April 5 at 6:30 pm, Janice Curtis Greene - award-winning Author, Master Storyteller, and American Griot - will bring Rosa Parks to life with her enthralling reenactment of the African American icon.

The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required as seating is limited. Visit https://bit.ly/RosaParksReservations  for reservations.

Event is appropriate for ages 12+ and is fully accessible.

This special presentation is part of Dr. Kelly's Liriodendron: Life, Legacy & Community - a year-long series of programs, supported by The Dresher Foundation, which explores the interests and influences of Dr. Howard Atwood Kelly - world-renowned surgeon, naturalist, philanthropist, and author, and one of the founders of Johns Hopkins Medical School and Hospital.
