DESCRIPTION:Build a catapult\, win a scholarship. Harford Day School is offering a FREE engineering design challenge for children in Grades 3-7. Each student will plan and create a catapult to launch a large marshmallow to knock over a tower of 20 Dixie cups positioned two meters away. \n\n\n\nMaterials provided: 20 popsicle sticks\, 10 pipe cleaners\, 8 clothespins\, 1 meter of masking tape\, 15 rubber bands\, 1 meter of yarn\, 4 plastic spoons\, 5 plastic bottle lids.\n\n\n\nOne winner in each grade level will win a $2\,000 scholarship.
